aramis-dagaz replied to your photo: I guess it’s time for some kissing Dryads.

This brings up an interesting question: Are dryads animals or plants, and do they procreate as such?

Dryads are animals, with the method of reproduction that implies. Dryads are a bit like a tree parasite, or possibly a better word would be a symbiont, since they are beneficial to the trees they live in. Their plant-like features are magic-based, and mostly there for camouflage, in addition to just being an outward expression of the Dryad’s bond to their tree. Their spells are highly dependent on the tree’s well being so their features are highly sympathetic to the tree’s current state (tree drops it’s leaves in the fall, Dryad loses their leaves as well) and their appearance is itself an expression of that sympathy.
