No one has ever asked where the markings on some Dryads’ faces come from, but I felt like explaining anyway. Basically sometimes some of the baby markings get stuck and never fade out with the rest. And now you know.

That doesn’t last long in Dryads. While they have a long adolescence like humans, the bit where they have half-developed bark texture and leaves only lasts about a year, and this exact medium wouldn’t even last that long. Maybe a week before they’ve grown more tree-looking.
