I tried some other patterns in the clipping mask and something went horribly right.

Reasons I made this: 1. I forgot how to draw my own character WTF 2. Pattern abuse

Misery loves company, and it’s unethical to knock out the teeth of real people.

Man, and someone took the last of the coffee and didn’t put on a fresh pot. What a day.

What is the nature of Queen Ilse and DayDrift's relationship, if any? Are they a couple, and both rulers of Saratoa?

Since the creation of the position of president, Saratoa has been in a stalled transition from dictatorship to democracy. Ilse is the dictator in this equation. She created the presidential position, but has not completely let go of her power, she’s written the law such that the President runs things by her blessing. As she’s gotten older, the country has gotten more and more democratic, since she spends less and less time involving herself in her government.

They are not a couple, but because he is the elected ruler, while she has not actually let go of control, he has to interact with her a LOT. And she is very weird around him (she’s weird in general, she’s out of her mind, but I digress) for example, she believes that her gaudy skin gives her the right to rule and makes her royalty and that covering that skin is akin to not wearing a crown - and DayDrift is nearly as colorful as she is, so she feels he is also a sort of royalty, and she regularly orders him to take his clothes off around her.

Scarf!

Near magic hotspots, things get really wonky.

Bones protects her lungs from magic residue in the air with a respirator when she goes hunting around the hotspot (looking for dead things she might want to collect and preserve, or for raw materials to use in potions). Dime does not wear one, as she has a very high tolerance for magic normally. Even so, forgoing the respirator does not always prove to be a good choice.

Lines asks “what” while amidst a flock of jellybirds.

Because that is a totally reasonable thing to draw.

Okay one more sketch of DayDrift.

He has asked every single leader of a country in his world that question.
